Dr Lucien Blake left Ballarat as a young man. But now he finds himself returning, to take over not only his dead father's medical practice, but also his on-call role as the town's police surgeon. Take a look HereThis is an Australian Series and watched the first episode last night. I really like it and recommend it. It is a series played in the 50's so no rough language and an excellent story.

This has been aired in the UK and I really like it
The first time I saw it it too me ages to recognise Craig McLachlan as Id only ever seen him in Neighbours, he is very good in this
I like the banter between him and his housekeeper

Not really my thing, too slow. Always liked Craig though. Currently on stage in Australia playing Frank n Furter in Rocky Horror which he also did 25 years ago :o

Not bad for an Aussie one. It is filmed in Ballarat Victoria and the beautiful buildings there I really love. One reason I enjoy going there but boy is it cold in the winter.

Becky it has finished for the time being.
The latest I heard that the Doctor Blake Series will return but without Craig McLachlan.
Don't know when.

Are they looking for another? Is that the issue?

Well the original Doctor Blake, Craig McLachlan, has had allegations of sexual harassment made here in Australia so I guess perhaps it will be another Doctor, not sure on that one. All I know is the story will jump forward 3 years in time in order to explain the disappearance of the central character.

I just hope it gets back on soon. I miss that show. Sad about the actor but if he did do it, it is best he does not come back. But he will be missed.

I haven't read if it was proven or not but do know he has lost a lot of money through his stage plays as he got the sack.

Becky good news. The series is coming back and it is called "The Blake Mysteries" . While it isn’t a first, there aren’t too many dramas that can survive the loss of their leading star and forge a new path. But thanks to Nadine Garner and producer George Adams that’s just what The Blake Mysteries is undertaking following the unfortunate absence of Craig McLachlan. Housekeeper Jean, who was always wise counsel to Doctor Lucien Blake, married her employer in the final episode on ABC. As fate would have it, it was just in the nick of time…. Read More hereHubby saw a bit last night and he said it was good. Remember Jean always like solving mysteries.
