This adorable young wild koala sips water for the first time! Koalas usually get moisture from Eucalyptus leaves, but leaves dry up during hot Summer in some parts of Australia, so Koalas rely on streams, ponds / natural pools of water for water. Thankfully this beautiful young koala decided to stay in our front yard tree for a week - so we got keep a good eye on him and keep a fresh bowl of water out for him.

He is cute and they do get very thirsty in our heat.
I have seen this many times you see a koala on the side of the road you have water in the car you stop and share it with the koala.

It's best to have thicker bowls so the much needed water doesn't accidentally get spilled. We have that for our pets. More people could help wildlife with simple water like this.
