We had fruit trees in the back yard but never thought of running inside to wash them just ate them.

Had raspberry bushes and didn't wash them when we picked a few to eat. They did get washed if a lot were picked for dessert .

oh it was great
on a back lot with no one on it...i'd go and pick blackberries
we had our own raspberry bushes
i would wash the carrots that i picked from the garden and just eat it like that
the other stuff, i'm not really that sure
but mom must have

When it was homegrown, fruits & veggies weren't washed. But when we buy from the store, with all the pesticides, wax coating, & then people touching them with grubby hands, yep, we will then wash lol

I used to rub an apple on my shirt, thinking it would get it clean. I imagine others did the same thing.
